James Walsh Thursday May 30th 2019

WALSH, James “Jim”
October 17, 1946 – May 30, 2019
Passed away peacefully with his family at his side, after a tough battle in the Hamilton General Hospital. Loving husband of 50 years to Carol. Cherished father of Kayli (Jack), Gayle (Jarron) and Jamie. Beloved grandpa of Alexx, Aidan, Dreah, Lily, Tabitha, Jack Jack, Jaxton and Jenner. Jim will also be sadly missed by his sister Sheila and brother Don who are visiting from the U.K., his brother and sister-in-law Ray and Sue Banks in the U.K., and many extended family and friends. Jim grew up in Bolton, Lancashire, England and moved to Canada in 1972. He was a long time member of both the Hespeler Legion and the Hespeler Horticultural Society. Jim was an avid darts player and loved fishing and working in his garden. He was happily retired for 8 years and got to travel extensively. At his request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at Lounsbury Funeral Home, 1766 Franklin Blvd., Cambridge on Thursday, June 6, 2019 at 11 a.m. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of the Burn Unit and the ICU at the Hamilton General Hospital for all of their care and compassion. Condolences may be made online at www.lounsburyfuneralhome.com.
