Obituary of Herb Schoen
SCHOEN, Herbert Oswald
November 22, 1925 – May 28, 2019
Herb passed away peacefully after a brief illness in his 94th year and is now with his loving wife, Marga (2013). A loving and devoted Father, Herbie will be sadly missed by his daughter, Christine, his son, Andy and his daughter-in-law Maggie. His grand-furbabies, Roofus, Ollie and Louie will miss their daily playtime and naps. Herbie will also be missed by his loving relatives in Germany, along with many friends from his neighbourhood and the Waterdown YMCA. A special thank you to the amazing staff in 7 West and 7 South at the Hamilton General Hospital who took exceptional care of him during his final days. A Visitation to celebrate the life of Herbie will be held at the Donald V. Brown Funeral Home, 36 Lake Avenue Drive, Stoney Creek, on Friday, May 31, 2019, from 5-8 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly request donations be made to the Juravinski Cancer Centre or the Heart and Stroke Foundation in honour of Herbie.
