It is with profound sadness that the family announces the passing of George Ivan Lucas of Lambeth, in his 93rd year, on May 8, 2019, following a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband for 71 years of his high school sweetheart, Eleanor (McKercher). Cherished father of Larry (Audrey), Bill (Cindy), Rick (Dorothy), Mary (late John Moynihan 2011) and Kim Millar (Steve). Dear brother to Arn (Lynne), and predeceased by brothers Don and Ken, and sister Margaret. Fondly remembered by his 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Dearly missed by all his nieces and nephews. Ivan was born in the old William Andrew Lucas farm house located in Brooke Township. He worked primarily in the food industry, Marra’s, General Bakeries and Wonder Bakeries where he rose to General Manager. “Sparky” was an avid sports fan and coached many Lambeth minor teams. A visitation and Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
