Obituary of Elwyn Wayne Bridge

Passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at Hospice Wellington, Guelph, at the age of 83 years.
Beloved husband of Shirley (Mehring) Bridge for almost 60 years. Loved and cherished father of Cheri ‘Rosie’ and her husband Don Voll, Daryl Bridge, Brian Bridge and his spouse Cheryl Stewart, and Tim Bridge and his wife Tracey. Dear grandpa of Nolan, Nyla, Isaac and Lauren, and great-grandpa of Trey. Fondly remembered by Brent Voll. Brother of Everitt (Irene) Bridge, Arlene (Lyle) Litt, Marie (Don) Fritz, and brother-in-law of Ross Pharoah, Lorne (Jo-Anne) Mehring, and Jayne (Ted) Dannemann. Will be missed by his many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Stanley and Alma (Greer) Bridge, sister Muriel Pharoah, brother Ken and his wife Lorraine, and his in-laws Edward and Elsie Mehring.
At Elwyn’s request cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2019 from 7-9 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira.
A memorial service will take place on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Church, 21 Arthur St. N., Elmira, with a reception to follow in the church hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Wellington or Trinity United Church would be appreciated.
