Edgar Lucien Lachapelle
Lachapelle, Edgar Lucien – With heavy hearts the family announces the death of Edgar Lucien Lachapelle at the age of 84 years. Edgar passed away suddenly at his home in New Liskeard, Friday, May 24, 2019.
Born at Belle-Vallée on March 16, 1935 to the late Arthur Lachapelle and the late Laurette Bibeau. He is remembered as a loving and devoted, husband, father, grandfather and friend.
Predeceased by his parents, brother Norman Lachapelle, sister-in-law Georgette Lachapelle and son-in-law Jules Roy. Left to mourn is his loving wife of 63 years Françoise [née Denis]. Sadly missed by his children: Martial [Michelle] Lachapelle, Florent [Kathy] Lachapelle, Carmelle Lachapelle Roy, Aurel [Sue] Lachapelle and Marc [Monique] Lachapelle. Fondly remembered by grandchildren: Nicole, Eric, Luc, Sabrina, Joey, Kristyna, Patrick, Richard, Josh and Mandy; twenty-two great-grandchildren and by his sister-in-law Claire Lachapelle.
A memorial mass will be held at Église Sacré-Coeur/Sacred Heart Church in New Liskeard. Completed funeral arrangements will be announced as they become available. Memorial contributions to Community Cancer Care or the Heart and Stroke Foundation [cheques only] will be gratefully acknowledged.
