It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Gordon Bochert on May 19, 2019 at the age of 60. He will be forever in the hearts of his best friend and wife Laurie, his cherished daughter Krista, and precious grandson Brady Douglas. Predeceased by his parents Gordon and Doris (nee Johnston). Survived by brother Gary (Wanda), sisters Debbie (Jerry), and Kathy as well as many nieces and nephews.
Bolstered by the love and support of his family, Doug repeatedly found the inner strength to overcome tremendous odds, surviving countless health complications arising from the debilitating injury he sustained in 2001. His loved ones will be eternally grateful for the caregivers, nurses, and doctors who went above and beyond, without whom Doug would not have been able to remain with us and continue to enrich our lives the last 18 years. Doug was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, and friend as well as a proud uncle and grandfather who will be dearly missed.
All professional services have been entrusted to Zohr Family Funeral Home, 22 Raglan Street South Renfrew. A private family service will be held at a later date.
