Denis Michael Belliveau
1962-2019
Denis Michael Belliveau – age 57, of Black River Lake, Kings
County, passed away on Thursday, May 23, 2019 in the Centennial
Building, QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Sudbury, ON,
he was a son of Mary (McInnis) Belliveau (Terry Palmer), Delaware, ON
and Edward Belliveau, Dartmouth. He had been employed with Michelin
Tire, Waterville for over 35 years, where he will be sadly missed by
his co-workers, who he enjoyed golfing with and sharing laughs in the
office and on the floor. He will also be fondly remembered by his lake
family. He enjoyed piloting his boat along with co-pilots, Kylie and
Chloe, fishing and playing washer toss with anyone who dared challenge
him. Denis loved the Boston Bruins. He was also passionate about
fund-raising for Team Joshua, a memorial fund for his step-son. He is
survived by his wife, Karen (Scott); two sons, Dylan (Lacey) Belliveau
and Keifer Belliveau; step-daughters, Mallory Graves, Bridgewater; Amy
Graves, Edmonton, AB; a step-son, Kyle (Sonoma) Graves, Canning; two
sisters, Grace Belliveau (Roger Hortensius), Hamilton, ON; Juliette
(Frank) Gladiator, Waterdown, ON; a brother, Robert Belliveau,
Hamilton, ON; six grandchildren, Paisley Belliveau, Bristol Belliveau,
Chloe Maxwell, Kylie Graves, Raven Graves and Maddison Graves; father
and mother-in law, Michael and Gerri Scott, Coldbrook; two
brothers-in-law, Jim (Heather) Scott, Halifax; Kevin (Shelia) Scott,
Windsor, ON; nieces and nephews, Samantha, Maisie, Sadie, Ryan,
Brittni and Matthew; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was
predeceased by a step-son, Joshua Graves. Cremation has taken place
and there will be no visitation or funeral service, by request. A
celebration of Denis’ life will be held at a later date at
his home on the lake. Donations in memory may be made to the Team
Joshua Memorial Fund, for the purchase of wheel chairs for the 8th
Floor of the Centennial Building, or for the Sunshine Room of the 11th
Floor of the Centennial Building at the QEII Health Sciences Centre,
Halifax. The family wishes to express their thanks to brother-in-law,
Jim and step-daughter, Mallory for being by Denis’ side
throughout his journey, as well as the nurses and staff on the 8th
Floor of the Centennial Building for their kindness, care and
