The passing of Byrene Ellen (Dryden) Thomas of Fredericton, NB, occurred on Friday, May 3, 2019 at York Care Centre. Born on August 12, 1924 in Saint John, NB she was a daughter of the late Charles and Olive (Hayes) Dryden. Byrene lived and went to school in Upper Maugerville then moved to Woodland and Tay Creek where she lived for many years.
Byrene is survived by her sons, Garfield Wilkins (Barbara), Frederick Wilkins (Anna), Dow Thomas (Diane) and Michael Thomas; grandchildren, Kimberley Cosman, Gregory Wilkins, Jason Wilkins, Lisa Arsenault, Jamie Wilkins, Wendy Faulkner and Jessica Thomas; great grandchildren, Ashley, Jaime-Lynn, Joshua, Meagan, Morgan, Alexis, Lucas, Caitlyn and Spencer; great great grandson, Hudson.

In keeping with Byrene’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A Memorial Service will take place from York Funeral Home’s T. Gordon MacLeod Memorial Chapel on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 2 pm with Rev. Joanne Barr officiating. Interment will take place in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Tay Creek, NB. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
