Anne’s Obituary
Wallace, Anne Cooper – 87, of Wallace Bridge, passed Thursday, May 30, 2019 at the Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst. Born in Aulac, N.B., she was a daughter of the late Robert and Edith (Reekie) Brander. Anne started working at the Cumberland Home (now the Sunset Community) at the age of 17 and continued to nurse at several places as well as private duty nursing. Her Sunset family always remained very important to her. She had a great sense of humour which helped her nurture her family and friends. Mom was a caregiver. She was an avid quilter and was a member of the Sunrise Quilt Guild. She loved to knit and sew and loved keeping in touch with family and friends on the computer. She also loved to sing alto and was a member of the Northumberland Choral and several other church choirs. Family was very important to her and she instilled that in each of her children. She was a woman of simple faith who walked each step with her Lord and in the end waited patiently for his call home. She is survived by her husband, Douglas; daughter, Linda (Dwight) Gallagher, Springhill; sons, David, Wallace; Scott, Wallace Bridge; grandson, Luke Gallagher (Amanda) and their children, Isaac and Emily Anne, all of Springhill; brother-in-law, Clayton Martin, Halifax; sisters-in-law, Sheila Brander, Wallace and June Brander, Pugwash; several nieces, nephews and their families.
