WOLFE – Arnold James, age 86, of Brooklyn, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Friday, April 26th, 2019.
Born in Milton, Queens County, Arnold was a son of the late Samuel and Hilda (Foster) Wolfe.
Arnold was a professional truck driver, working many years for Irving Oil and TRA , he and his loving wife, Rosetta also delivered papers for over 25 years along the Shore Road. Arnold loved music and could play many instruments and was a member of numerous country / bluegrass bands over the years. He and Rosetta enjoyed going for leisurely drives when time would allow. Above all else, he was passionate about his family and spending time with them. Arnold was well liked and respected and he will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Pat Roy of Brooklyn; sons, James (Tammy) of Mersey Point and Sherad of Bridgewater; grandchildren, Michael Roy (Jennifer Lawson), Leslie (Tracy) Roy, Marshall Drew and Mandy Drew; step granddaughter, Mariah; great grandchildren, Logan Roy, Madison Roy, Cheyanne Zwicker and Ashlyn Zwicker; sister, Eleanor Allison, of Edmonton, Alberta.
Arnold was predeceased by his loving wife, Rosetta; daughter, Nancy Drew; sister, Frances Tullock; brothers, Gerald, Irving, Murray, infant brother Donald and his furry friend and companion, Joey.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. At Arnold’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers. Donations may be made to Queens Branch S.P.C.A. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
