Bill passed away peacefully with his family by his side at West Parry Sound Health Centre on March 2, 2019 at age 88 years. Dear husband of Elizabeth Lilian and father of Liam (Susan), Deirdre (Richard) and Dawn (Andrew) and grandfather of Sarah (Jon), Paul (Amanda), Lydia and Ruth. He is pre-deceased by his brothers and sisters, Rev. George, Jim, Ethel and Anna.
Bill was born in County Cavan, Ireland and immigrated to Canada in 1954. He married Lilian in June 1956. He operated several businesses and was the former owner of the Sherwood Motel, south of Parry Sound for 34 years. He loved the Lord and had served as a Gideon. He particularly enjoyed presenting bibles to Grade 5 children.
As was Bill’s wish, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family funeral service at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Barrie. Bill’s wife and family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at the West Parry Sound Health Centre for their excellent and compassionate care.
