It is with great sadness that the family of the late Wallace John Rowsell announce his peaceful passing with his wife Lenie by his side at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville on Thursday April 4th 2019 at the age of 72 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories his wife Lenie (Burt) of 48 years, his two sons Sheldon (Charlene) of Ottawa and Trevor (Tina) of Holmesville NB, his three grandchildren; Jakob, Olivia and Chloe, his sister Lorna (Cliff) Perry of Glovertown, his two brothers Ray (Mary) of Grand Falls-Windsor and David (Gemma) of Fort St. John BC. He was predeceased by his parents Wallace and Lillian Rowsell and in-laws Alphaeus and Barbara Burt. Special thanks to Dr. Lamswood, Dr. Quershi and nurses at the Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital. Visitation will take place from Russell’s Funeral Home in Stephenville on Sunday April 7th from 2-4 and 7-9 The funeral service will take place from Zion Pentecostal Church on Monday April 8th at 2 p.m. with interment in the Hillside Interfaith Cemetery on the Hansen Highway. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers donations to Daffodil Place or to a charity of one’s choice would be greatly appreciated.
