Passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2019 at Hillside Manor. Born October 13, 1923 at Wesleyville, Newfoundland. Attended school in Grand Falls and at Memorial College in St. John’s. Jack moved to Toronto in 1947 to pursue music studies (Mus. Bac.) and relocated to Stratford in 1998.
Dear husband of the late Elizabeth (Betty) Hillier (nee Coleman) and of the late Margaret Willmer. Predeceased by his parents Rev. S.J. Hillier and Mary (Thompson) Hillier, his brother Norman (Esther) and sister Gertrude Dickie (Andrew). Jack is survived by his sons David (Theresa), Robert (Sue), Peter (Marilyn), Christopher (Marilyn), Paul (Michelle) and their families. Survived also by his sister Mary Lou Allen of Markham and sister-in-law Esther Hillier of Toronto and their families.
Cremation has taken place. Interment at a later date in Port Hope. A memorial service will also be held at a future date and details will be announced on the Rutherford Funeral Home website.
