It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Spud on Sunday, April 14, 2019 at the age of 90 years. He will be forever remembered by his loving wife of 64 years, Eleanor; four children, Patrick and Sharon, Connie and Robin Knibbs, Michael and Terri, Andrea and Alan Beres; ten grandchildren, Scott (Becky), Mark (Sarah), Ryan (Jillian), Brock, Daniel (Jada), Sarah (Andrew), Peter, Nicole, Cole and Sydney; two great grandchildren, Ty and Max; extended family and many friends. Spud was predeceased by his grandson, Troy.
Throughout his architectural career, Spud helped to influence the Edmonton skyline. In his free time, Spud could be found at his cabin on Lake Wabamun, where he enjoyed sailing, water-skiing, building and flying model air planes, and relaxing with family and friends.
We extend a sincere thank you to all the staff at the U of A Hospital for their wonderful care given to Spud.
