S. Gordon Phillips
March 15, 1943 – April 15, 2019
Gordon Phillips, 76, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2019, lovingly surrounded by family and close friends. Cherished husband and partner to Sue Mathieu (née Lamb). Father to Sandi (James), Katherine (Brian), Andrea and Karen (Don). Grandfather to seven.
Much loved son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle to the Lamb family. Adopted into the Mathieu family, adored uncle to Kim, Erin and Danielle.
Many many thanks to the wonderful staff at H.J. McFarland Home, especially the Willow Wing PSWs and the nursing staff who took such great care of Gord over the past few months. Gord had a life-long passion for boating, was a talented artist and lover of music. A passionate advocate in tourism throughout his career and well-recognized in Canada’s tourism industry.
A Celebration of Gord’s Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to H.J. McFarland Home’s Resident Council.
