DOWNEY, Ronald – Passed away peacefully at the Greater Niagara General Hospital on Thursday April 25, 2019 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of the late Eileen Downey (2017). Loving father of Randy Downey (Donna McMahon) and Jackie Linwood (Henk), JoAnne Lambert and Lori Patterson (Bill Sanders). Caring grandfather of Casey McMahon, Derek McMahon, Amber Yacyshyn, Carlie Lynch, Jennifer Lambert, Christopher Lambert, Johnathan Rodgers, Valerie Rodgers, Paul Rodgers and Angela Patterson. Great-grandfather of 10.
The family will receive friends at MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main St., on Friday May 10, 2019 from 11 am to 12 pm, followed by a funeral service to celebrate the life of Ron at the funeral home at 12 pm. A private family interment will take place at a later date at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. Those who wish may make a memorial donation to Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of Canada.
