1957-2019
Michael Eugene Keating, husband of Darlene (White) Keating of Whitney, NB, passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 27th, 2019, at the age of 61.
Born in Miramichi, Michael was the son of the late Benedict and Rose (Rogers) Keating.
Michael was a member of Local 900 Laborers Union and was a Heavy Equipment Operator.
He was a man who was very easy going and loved to make everyone laugh.
Michael was very caring and lived his life raising his children along with five exchange students from other countries.
His passion was cooking, baking and barbecuing.
Besides his wife, Darlene Keating, Michael is survived by one son: Jacob Keating of Whitney, NB; one daughter: Jessica Keating of Miramichi, NB; two nieces: Michelle Ross of Red Deer, AB and Kandice Pyper (Brad) of Arizona as well as several great nieces and nephews.
Michael is predeceased by one brother: Patrick Keating and one sister: Christina Ross.
Visitation will be held at Meadows Funeral Home, 150 Northwest Road., Sunny Corner on Friday, May 3rd, 2019 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
The Funeral service will be held at the Meadows Funeral Home Chapel, 150 Northwest Road., Sunny Corner on Saturday, May 4th, 2019, at 2 PM with Pastor Silas Matchett officiating.
Burial will be in St. Stephen’s United Church Cemetery, Red Bank, at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, in Michael’s memory, donations may be made to the Sunny Corner Arena or SPCA – Miramichi.
