Melissa Dawn Beney
1982-2019
The passing of Melissa Dawn Beney occurred unexpectedly at her
residence in Beaver Harbour NB on April 15, 2019. Born in Saint John
NB on June 17, 1982, she was a daughter of H. Charlene (O’Neill) Beney
and the late Carl E. Beney. A loving mother, daughter, sister, niece
and friend, Melissa will be sadly missed by her children: Christopher
Beney and Clara Beney both of Beaver Harbour NB; her mother: H.
Charlene Beney of Beaver Harbour NB; brothers: Darren O’Neill of
Beaver Harbour NB, Gary Beney (Jennifer) of Saint John NB and Todd
Rivers of Oshawa ON; nieces: Kaylee Bradford and Shay-Lynn Hatcher;
nephews: Garrick Beney and Isaac Beney; several aunts, uncles and
cousins. Melissa was recently predeceased by her father, Carl Ernest
Beney.
Melissa was currently employed with Cooke Aquaculture where she worked
in the Quality Control Department. A quiet soul, Melissa enjoyed
knitting and attending local craft fairs to sell her creations. She
always had a smile for everyone she met and was willing to help anyone
in need. She was the best mother to her children and a blessing to
have as a daughter and friend. She enjoyed family gatherings and
looked forward to celebrating any occasion that would bring the family
together. Melissa loved Christmas time and was known to leave her
lights and tree up a little longer than the rest of us. Her caring and
thoughtful heart will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Arrangements in the care of the St. George Funeral Home (755-3533) 26
Portage Street, St. George NB. Resting at the funeral home with
visiting on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. The service will be held at
the Blacks Harbour Wesleyan Church on Saturday at 2:00 pm with Pastor
