Margaret O’Reilly, 85, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at the Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell on Monday, April 15, 2019.
Beloved wife of the late John “Jack” O’Reilly (2014). Dear mother of Janet Greenwood (Dave), Gary O’Reilly (Deb), Pat O’Reilly (Mary Margaret), Dennis O’Reilly (Lorrie), Marlene Luyten (Ken), Carolyn Houben (Bob), Tom O’Reilly (Deb), Sandra McCarthy (Dan) and Jim O’Reilly (Charlene). Loving grandmother of 27 grandchildren and one great granddaughter. Dear sister of Frank Haggarty. Dear sister-in-law of Theresa Haggarty and Angela Haggarty. Also surviving are a number of nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her parents Michael and Margaret Haggarty, daughter-in-law Nancy O’Reilly, granddaughter Kayla O’Reilly, brothers Emmett, Leon and Jerome Haggarty, sisters Ellahree Payton (Clem), Mildred Schaeffer (Albert), Kaye Stapleton (Frank) and Helen Devereaux (Bob) and sisters-in-law Betty Haggarty and Angela Walsh (Dennis).
Margaret was a member of St. Columban Parish and later of St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Mitchell and a lifetime member of the C.W.L.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Saturday, April 20, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Mitchell on Monday, April 22 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Clare Coleman – Celebrant. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in St. Columban Cemetery. Memorial donations to L’Arche (Stratford), Ronald McDonald House and Stratford Perth Hospice may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
