Obituary of Lily Clarke
Passed peacefully away at the Carbonear General Hospital on Wednesday, April 3, 2019, Lily Clarke of Victoria, age 96 years. Predeceased by husband: Hubert; son: Rex; great-grandson: Justin Blundon; sisters: Winnie Meadus, and Rita Vey; brother: Simon Snelgrove; parents: James and Harriet Snelgove. Leaving to mourn, three daughters: Daphne (Duncan) Blundon, South Dildo, Sylvia Trickett, Victoria, and Peggy (Roy) Kliewer, Surrey, BC; one son: Vernon (Sonja) Clarke, Carbonear; daughter-in-law: Laura Clarke; eleven grandchildren: Christopher (Linda), Cheryl (Terry), Sandy (Heather), Susan (Jeff), Vernon (Krista), Kim, Ricky (Tanya), Rocky, Trevor (Jennifer), Katie (Jordan), and Trent (Morgan); ten great-grandchildren: Allison, Jason, Jenna, Janean, Adam, Stephanie, Andrew, Raine, Jaxon, and Duncan; 9 great-great-grandchildren; also a large number of other relatives and friends. Resting at Noel’s Funeral Home, Water Street, Carbonear on Friday, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Saturday, 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 noon, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m., 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.; Sunday 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. Funeral service to take place on Sunday, April 7 at 2:30 p.m. from the United Church, Victoria. Interment in the United Cemetery, Victoria.
