Kathleen Teresa Parkinson Tuesday April 2nd 2019

Parkinson, Kathleen Teresa (nee O’Boyle)
Passed away peacefully in her 100th year, surrounded by her family at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington on Tuesday, April 2, 2019. Predeceased by and reunited with her beloved husband Arthur. Loving mother of Michael (Carla). Cherished Nanny of Ryan (Nadia) and Hayley (Jake Manning). Devoted great-grandmother of Kieran. Eldest of nine children, born to the late Patrick and late Sarah (nee McBride) of Gweedore, Donegal, Ireland.
In the last few hours of our time with Mom/Nanny Kate, we sang ”Danny Boy” and “Molly Malone” together – both of these songs were personally meaningful as she sang them to her much loved Ryan and Hayley when they were small children.
Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of QEW), BURLINGTON (905-632-3333) on Thursday, April 11 from 6 – 9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Raphael’s Roman Catholic Church (4072 New Street, Burlington) on Friday, April 12 at 11 a.m. Private Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. A Celebration of Life and Irish Wake will be held at a later date. For those who wish memorial donations to The Carpenter Hospice would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
