Jason Gerald Winacott passed away March 28, 2019 in Edmonton, Alberta with his family by his side at the age of 41 years.
He was born August 4, 1977 to Gerald and Rita (Wiegers) Winacott in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. On January 19, 2007 he married Cheyenne Duncan in St. Lucia. On December 9, 2005 Jason became a daddy to his beautiful daughter, Abigail Winacott and on January 12, 2009 he became a daddy a second time to his beautiful daughter, Hailey Winacott. Jason loved the outdoors, he loved camping, fishing, but most of all he loved being with his family and friends. Jason had a love for the railroad and worked 18 years as a Signal’s Maintainer/ Supervisor for CN rail, once a railroader always a railroader was what he often said.
Jason is survived by his wife, Cheyenne; two daughters: Abigail and Hailey; parents, Gerald and Rita; sister, Tina; brother-in-law, Dave Szerenscie; nephews: Jesse (Shelbie) and Colemin Szerenscie; niece, Katelyn (Leo) House; great nephew, Kieran House as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He is predeceased by his grand fathers, Henry Wiegers and Charlie Winacott; grandmother, Leona Winacott; uncle, Russell Winacott; two aunts: Marge Bauman and Dorthy Winacott.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in Jason’s name to the Brain Research Society or Habitat for Humanity.
