James “Jim” Otis Upshaw
June 13, 1939 – April 26, 2019

The passing of James “Jim” Upshaw of Fredericton, NB, husband of Mavis (Allen) Upshaw occurred on Friday, April 26, 2019 at Fredericton Hospice.
Born on June 13, 1939 in Nova Scotia, he was the son of the late Norman and Gertrude (Pelley) Upshaw.
Jim served with The Canadian Armed Forces (Royal Canadian Dragoons) and was retired from Bonar Packaging and PEI Bag Company.

Besides his wife of 57 years, Jim is survived by his daughter, Roszena Sampson of

Toronto, ON; son, John Burtt (Dorothy) of Keswick Ridge, NB; sisters, Judy Upshaw

(Cedric) of Kentville, NS, Linda Upshaw of Toronto, ON, Norma Upshaw of

Dartmouth, NS, Dawn Upshaw of Halifax, NS and Cindy Walsh (Shawn) of Halifax,

NS; brothers, Bryant Upshaw of Windsor, NS, Derrick Upshaw (Sherie) of Windsor,

NS; several nieces and nephews and his fur baby Brandi.

Born: June 13, 1939

At Jim’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service at this time.

Death: April 26, 2019 Place of Death: Fredericton, NB

A private Celebration of Jim’s Life will take place at later date.

For those who wish, remembrances may be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Fredericton Hospice or charity of donor’s choice.
