It is with heavy hearts the family announce the passing of Jacques Roger Laplante which occurred unexpectedly on Monday, April 1, 2019 at his residence. Born on February 10, 1941 in Saint Leonard d’Aston, Quebec he was the son of the late Antoni and Antoinette (Bergeron) Laplante.
He is survived by his wife Nancy E. (McDonough) Laplante, daughters Sheryl McNeil (Paul), Carol McNeil (Glen) and Shelley McNeil (Mike); brothers Maurice and Raymond; sisters Celine, Madeleine and Noella all of Drummondville; grandchildren Jennifer, Kelsey and Hanna.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the Royal Canadian Legion of many years.
Following cremation, visitation will be held from Fundy Funeral Home, Saint John (646-2424) on Friday, April 5, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Remembrances in memory or Jacques may be made to the NB Lung Association or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
