HAROLD WETTLAUFER
Harold Francis Wettlaufer, 92, of Mitchell passed away peacefully at the Mitchell Nursing Home on Thursday, April 11, 2019.
Beloved husband of Donna Wettlaufer (nee Quehl) dear father of Paul Wettlaufer (Corey Illman). Loving grandfather of Sydney, Mackenzie (Ben Elliott) and Kyle. Dear brother-in-law of Leila Wettlaufer.
Predeceased by his parents Ezra and Barbara Wettlaufer, brothers Lynn (Pearl), Orlin (Ruby), Lloyd, Wayne (June), sisters Margaret Pallister (Glen) and Verda Carey (Don) and brother-in-law Robert Quehl (Shirley).
Harold was born in 1926 near Hickson, Ontario. Living and working in the area until moving to Clinton with his wife Donna in 1955. At that time they purchased a local feed mill later known as Wettlaufer Feed Mill which they operated until 1974. Harold and Donna lived in the Clinton area until relocating to Mitchell in 2003 to be closer to their son and three grandchildren.
Friends will be received at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal St., Mitchell on Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Laura Sauder officiating. A reception will follow at the Lockhart Reception Centre. Interment in St Peter’s Lutheran Cemetery, Brodhagen. Memorial donations to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Brodhagen or Stratford General Hospital Foundation may be made at LockhartFuneralHome.com.
