George Baker 19522019

George Baker
BAKER, George Rodney
Passed away peacefully at his home in Cambridge on Saturday, April
20, 2019 at age 66 years. Beloved husband of nearly 46 years of
Joanne. Loving and proud father of Stephanie Brathwaite (Randy) and
adoring grandfather of Kymani. Dear brother of Penny Lahey and Kirk
Baker (Beverly). Predeceased by his parents Harold and Winnifred
Baker, brothers Ab Henshaw and Gary Baker, brother-in-law; Ed Lahey.
George will be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, other relatives
and many friends.
George was well-known and respected across Canada within the
aggregate/mining industry. He was very proud of being one of the
founders of the Cambridge Minor Football League, a member of the
Sertoma Club, and more recently as a new volunteer at the Cambridge
Memorial Hospital. His caring, helpful nature, his outgoing
personality, and his tremendous love for his family and friends will
live on forever in our hearts.

be held at the Galt Country Club, 750 Coronation Blvd., Cambridge,
Friday, April 26, 2019 from 1:00 … 3:30 p.m. with a sharing of
