The death occurred at Bobby’s Hospice, Saint John, on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 of A. Gail MacLean Harris, age 75, formerly of New Minas, Nova Scotia. Born in Lot 16, PEI on August 21, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Mary (Marchbank) MacLean. Gail was Registered Nurse working for many years in Hospitals, Nursing Homes and Home Care she retired as Executive Director for VON in 2001. Gail adored golden retrievers and had many canine friends over the years. Gail is survived by her son Adam MacLean (Racquel), Toronto, ON; sister Gloria MacLean, Long River, PEI; brother Roy MacLean, Summerside, PEI; sisters-in-law Caroline (Tony) Smith; Noeline (Fraser) Smith, step-children David (Kathy) Harris, Shelly (Chris) Weir, and Sherry (Ian) Murray, all of Saint John, brother-in-law, David (Jeanne) Large of Liverpool, NS and nephews Peter and Phillip Large, Toronto, ON; Grandmother to Parker, Jack, Kieran, Clancy, Will, Lauren, Jackson, Allie, Duncan and Emma. Besides her parents, she is predeceased by husband, Warren, sister Marilyn Large of Liverpool, NS, brother-in-law Brian Harris and his wife, Jean of Saint John. Arrangements are under the direction of the Fundy Funeral Home 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (506-646-2424). Visitation to be held on Tuesday April 30th from 5-8 p.m. p.m. Celebration of Gail’s life will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday May 1st at 2:00 p.m. Interment to follow at Fernhill Cemetery. Family flowers only please.
