Elva Mary Stuart
Elva Mary Stuart, of Bedford, passed away on April 2, 2019 in the QEII Hospital, Halifax. She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Hilda Day. Born in Popes Harbour, Halifax County, she was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She worked for many years at the Bank of Montreal, Main Branch, Halifax. Elva enjoyed travelling with her late husband, Robert Stuart, and spending time at their summer cottage in PEI.
Elva was predeceased by her husband Robert, sister Margaret, sister-in-law Joan, and brothers John, Paul, Gordon, Carl and Donald Day. She is survived by nieces and nephews, and brothers-in-law, Alex MacDonald of Summerside, PEI, and James Stuart of Halifax.
A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, April 6 at 1 p.m. at St. Ignatius Church, 5 Bedford Street, Bedford. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, a contribution to the charity of your choice would be appreciated. Online condolences may be made at: tkbarnardfuneralhome.ca
