Obituary for Dorothy May Billings (nee Farraway)
Our family lost a precious gift on Wednesday, April 10, 2019. Dot was born on January 2, 1930 in Ancaster, ON. She was predeceased in life by her best friend and husband Dennis, parents Charles and Florence, and her siblings Maggie, Jim, Claire and Kay. Dot is survived by her 3 children Diana, Paul (Debbie) and Denise; grandchildren Misty (John), Holly (John), Tracy (Mike), Michelle (Kyle), Justin, and Taylor (Liam); and 5 beautiful great-grandchildren Timmy, Izzy, Declan, Blake and Jack. She will be sadly missed by all of her extended family and many friends. A special thank you to the staff at St. Peter’s Hospital on Maplewood and St. Peter’s Residence at Chedoke for their exceptional care of Dot. Visitation will be held at Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre, 100 King St. E., Dundas, on Sunday, April 14 from 2 p.m. for 4 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Circle of Life on Monday, April 15 at 12 p.m., interment White Chapel Cemetery, followed by reception at Circle of Life. (additional parking at the Air Force Club). Dorothy was one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She opened her heart to many children over the years. She will be greatly missed. Donations to The Alzheimer Society of Ontario would be appreciated by the family.
