Passed away on April 14th, 2019, at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital, Donald Dean Stewart of Otterville in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Jean (McConkey) for 63 years. Dear father of Jill Nicolson (Alistair), of London. Grandfather of Melissa Ashton (Doug), Aaron Stewart (Nichole), Krista Nicolson, and Keriann Nicolson-Brent (Joe). Great-grandfather of Kaitlyn, Colton and Kylie Ashton and Carter Stewart. He was predeceased by his son Daniel (2004) and his sister Jean (2017). He owned Stewart Car Sales in Tillsonburg for over a decade. Don was a member of Otterville United Church for over 60 years. Don enjoyed boating and fishing. He belonged to the Otterville Radio Control Flying Club Inc. and flew his planes for many years.
A private family service will be held in the MAURICE J. VERHOEVE FUNERAL HOMES- BURIAL AND CREMATION SERVICES INC. Chapel, 262 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg, officiated by Rev. Sydney Elias of the Norwich United Church. Inurnment later in the Otterville Cemetery. Memorial donations to the “Otterville United Church,” or the “TDMH Foundation,” or the “Canadian Cancer Society” would be appreciated by the family and may be made through the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Home (519)842-4238.
