Passed away peacefully on April 19, 2019 at the age of 92. Predeceased by his beloved wife Freda Warkentin (2002) and loving companion Katie Gubinczki (2016). Armin will be dearly missed and fondly remembered by his son Paul Lehn, his granddaughters Jennifer Tiessen (the late Dean), Stacey Lehn and Melissa Lehn as well as Katie’s children Rose Gubinczki (Bob Ericson), Robert Gubinczki and the late Jim (Charlene) Gubinczki. Armin cherished his great grandchildren Emma, Julianne, Rachelle, Josh and Cian. Dear brother of the late Isaac, the late Helen (the late Henry Koop), Irene (the late Jacob Froese), Marie (Victor Dick), the late Leona (George Willms), Rudy (the late Anita), Neal (Shirley). He is also survived by four sisters-in-law and two brothers-in-law and will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Armin had a love for baseball, music, history, dancing and his church. He shared a special bond with young people. He shared many stories of his days working on the farm, running the Parkdale Variety and Gas Station, and driving truck for Clark & Snively Trucking. Especially in his later years, Armin enjoyed visits with the people he loved and shared his sense of humour even in his last few days. Our family would like to thank the staff of the Leamington Mennonite Home, Erie Shores HealthCare and Erie Shores Hospice, Dr. Holloway, Dr. Ghuman, Pastor Ruth Boehm and many friends at Faith Mennonite Church for their love and care. Visiting at the Reid Funeral Home & Reception Centre, 14 Russell Street, Leamington (519-326-2631) Wednesday 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. A memorial service will be held at Faith Mennonite Church, 269 Sherk Street, Leamington, on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m. Pastor Ruth Boehm officiating. Interment at Evergreen Memorial Park Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Leamington Mennonite Home or Erie Shores Hospice.
