Obituary for
Andrew Hrynyk
We sadly share that our husband, father and grandfather, Andrew Gabriel Hrynyk of Edmonton, AB passed away gently and peacefully on April 23, 2019 at the age of 89 years.
Andy will be lovingly missed by his wife, Doris; daughter, Carolyn and her family, Grey and Tegan; son, Danny and his family, Kimberley, Kendra and Mitchell; his close friends and family; as well as special neighbors, Cindy, Lawrence and Jane.
Andy was born on the original homestead family farm at Royal Park, AB to Harry and Annie Hrynyk. He grew up there learning the many skills needed to be successful in his life once leaving the farm. In 1953 he married Doris Schneider and began his adventures as a husband and father. He and Doris moved to Edmonton in 1959 to work and raise their young family of Carolyn and Danny. In later years Andy enjoyed times with grandsons, Grey and Tegan, travel trips with Doris, visiting with friends and family, and growing his amazing vegetable gardens on the family farm.
Funeral Service Thursday, May 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue. Very Reverend Mihajlo Planchak officiating with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to Cross Cancer Institute, 11560 University Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T6G 1Z2
