Brenda (Webster) Anderson
November 6, 1939 – March 28, 2019
Brenda Anderson passed away peacefully at Northwood Centre on March 28, 2019. Born in Pudsey, Yorkshire, England, to Ronald and Elsie (Hilliam) Webster, Brenda emigrated to Canada with her husband and children on the Empress of Canada in 1968.
A legal librarian in her working years, Brenda was also a talented water colour artist who loved music, animals, literature, and the law, and inspired the same in her children. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and their families, and she was tremendously proud of all.
Survived by daughter Merlyn Christian (Ken Keeping); sons Simon Anderson (Deborah Morton) and Steven Anderson; grandson Michael Christian; granddaughters Stephanie Christian and Hannah Smith; great-granddaughter Lila Rae Christian; brother Martyn Webster; as well as nieces, nephews, and friends across Canada and the UK.
Predeceased by husband Henry Brian Anderson, brother Kevin Webster (Lurline), sister Joyce Bennett (John), sister-in-law Norma Webster.
Many thanks to the staff of Northwood Halifax Campus for Brenda’s care over the last 9 years.
There will be no service as per Brenda’s request. Cremation in the care of Dartmouth Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, for those who wish to make a donation in Brenda’s memory, the IWK Foundation or Children’s Wish Foundation were her charities of choice.
