Obituary of Victor Charles Foley
Age 81, of Windsor Forks, passed away peacefully at home, on Sunday, March 24, 2019. Vic was the elder son of Victor and Georgina (Mosher) Foley.
He was a carpet layer, stationary engineer and machinist, by trade. He was a paratrooper in the Royal Canadian Regiment and was a very proud man when he got his wings. “You are with the Lord now, Vic and have a new set of wings”. Vic had a great sense of humour. He was an avid woodsman. He loved the great outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and looking after animals.
Vic is survived by his devoted wife, Lucy (Daniels); his daughter, Chrystol (John) Szoges; sister, Georgina “Lambie” Philpott; special niece, Rachel Daniels; his two lovely aunts, Ella Goddard and Marjorie LeBlanc; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Vic was predeceased by his three sons, Randy, Tony and Victor, a terrible loss to bear; sister, Margaret “Cookie” Eisnor and brother, Frank Foley.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert St., Windsor (902-798-8317). A visitation will be held from 1-1:45 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, 2019 all in Church of the Nazarene, 131 Wentworth Rd., Windsor, Pastor Andrew Barker officiating. Burial will follow in Windsor Forks Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vic’s memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, 5657 Spring Garden Rd, Box 245, Halifax, NS B3J 3R4.
