Obituary of Ruth Victoria Bailey
Ruth Bailey passed away peacefully at Westgate Lodge on Tuesday, March 26th, 2019 in her 92nd year. Daughter of the late Hedley and Hettie Ireland. Beloved wife of the late Victor Bailey. Loving mother of Mary (Norman) Walt and Jane (John) Boyle both of Belleville and mother in-law to Wayne Striker of Thornhill. Proud grandmother of Adam (Tara), Andrew (Jenny-Lyn), Emma, Aaron and Jenna and several great grandchildren. Ruth is predeceased by her daughter, Lynn Striker and by her sister, Gala Bird. She is fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and extended family. Cremation with a private inurnment service at Carman Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel (613-968-2273). If desired, Memorial Donations to St. Matthew’s United Church would be appreciated.
