Romeo Joseph Poirier March 21 2019

The passing of Romeo Joseph Poirier occurred on March 21, 2019 at the Palliative Care Unit of the Saint John Regional Hospital, after a long, courageous battle with cancer. Romeo was born January 24, 1952 in Dalhousie, NB to the late Marcella (Lavigne) and Arthur Poirier.
Romeo is survived by his wife of 45 years Brenda (Burchill) and two children Shaun of Saint John and Michelle (Joe) Munro of Rowley. He has four beautiful grandchildren Riley, Grace, Gavin and Joey that were his pride and joy. He has one sister Angeline (Ron) Schmidt and four brothers Gerald, Germain, Danny and Lionel; several nieces and nephews. Romeo will be sadly missed by hid little dog Maggie and his best friend Scott Warren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Charles and two sisters Blanche and Jeannine and his precious grandson Hayden.
The family would like to thank Dr. Neil Young, Dr. Gray, Nurse Pam and all the staff of Palliative Care for your wonderful care and compassion.
By his request there will be no visitation or funeral service. An interment will be held in Fernhill Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the SPCA Animal Rescue.
