  1. Paying Tribute To The Women I Truly Loved:

Rejeanne and l first met at Matane Québec on July 24,1994 and fell deeply in love with each other. This true love relationship lasted for 26 years, and even thou Rejeanne had passed away on March 19th, she still lives in my mind and my heart forever. Rejeanne and l took many vacations together, we were inseparable. Even when l went out to buy a loaf of bread, is where she would put on her coat and together we would head off to the store. That is the kind of a relationship we had together.

As l was employed in the merchant marine took me away from her , but we always managed to keep our relationship alive. We recorded taped messages to each other, using the postal service as a means of communications. Many times onboard the ship where l was Captain of, used the Satellite System \ phone to express and reassure my love for her. As Rejeanne was truly every thing that a man could ever hope for. Rejeanne was my life, and l loved her unconditionally, as she was my heart felt love affair that seemed never end. As l write this about our relationship, is where my heart and sole cries out to this women l have loved for so many years. It is pure torture not to be with her in this lifetime. Is where l pray to God that one that he allows us to meet again in this heaven he created for all of us that believed in him. Rejeanne often said that she would pass before me. Why she said this, is where l asked of her to stop saying this as it made me say to face this should it come to pass. Think about the love and time we have and put these thoughts far from your mind, please Rejeanne.

Rejeanne was truly a wife, mother, and grandmother to all her children and grandchildren. She never forgot there birthday’s or other times of the years special events, such as Christmas. She lived for all and gave more of herself to all. She was truly an amazing women that loved life, and the man she fell in love with. Rejeanne was a quite kind of a women \ wife that didn’t have a angry word(s) for anyone. She kept her secrets close to her chest, is where she used to say to me when others upset me, she would say “Mon amour”, don’t become angry with those who don’t truly don’t know you and what your trying to do for them. Keep those thought’s onto your self, and when the times come you will have had the time to say what you want.

This is the gentle side of Rejeanne that l admired, and she herself would think of others in ways that astonished me each time she dropped off clothing in a church box. It didn’t matter whether if the clothes were worn by her a few times or not. She thought of others that these things could make someone’s life better. That was the kindness and thoughtfulness that made her special and a greater reason to love her more !! “She was truly an amazing women” !! !!

Since her car accident here in Nova Scotia that happened on her birthday of August 5th,2016, is where we moved back into Matane Québec where she was born. Is where she worked for the Federal Government on Boulevard Dion for 20 years before. It was during this time l met Rejeanne. After a brief time of courtship l moved into her apartment and the love affair grew. Just after Rejeanne retired we decided to move to Nova Scotia, is were l owned property and a house there. Rejeanne and l lived there for 16 years before retuning to Matane.

We settled into a motel apartment , as it was late fall and no other accommodations could be had, as we needed an furnitured apartment. Thinking to move our Nova Scotia furniture into a more suitable center of town apartment in the spring. During this time l was able to secure a job working on a tugboat at Matane. Whereas Rejeanne and her daughter made and got her an apartment in the elderly retirement complex. Therefore, she felt more suitable of her surrounding, and with people she knew. Not to be forgotten that of her family that loved her unconditionally.

Although we shared this apartment at times together. Is where I had to continue working to recover revenue during the 2 1/2 years that l had elected to go into a failed business venture, durin 2013 to 2015. Therefore, as l explained to her l have to try and recover that loss, it was as painful for both of us. Yet once again we stayed toghter, whether by phone or driving back to Matane, just to take care of her. As l am very much in love with her, and would l not be. After all 26 years living with the women l love, says and needs no explanation. Returned to Matane to tell her that l am now retired, and will be with her always. Only then did residents living there approach me to tell me that your “femme common partenaire juridique est decade”. This crushed me completely. Why no one informed men is heart felt to this day.

I can understand why wives and relationship’s with seafarer’s are difficult at best, but when you truly love Rejeanne as l do. Then l hope she will forgive me, and know that she was all the women l could have wished for !! !!

Always & Still In Love With You Mon Amour,

    Je t’aime toujours Mon Amour
    Xox/ Derek
