Passed away at the Espanola Nursing Home February 24, 2019 at the age of 80. Dear son of the late Peter and Mary (nee Karpiew) Buratynski. Survived by his loving wife Jackie (née SanCartier), wonderful father to Chonée Dennis (husband Michael) of Peterborough, LeeAnn Xerri of Mississauga, Ashley (Christine Morrow) of Baden and Kori (wife Shelley) of Espanola. Cherished grandfather of Ricki, Reed, Javan, Mia, Cole, Autumn, Austin, Quinn, Curtis, Fallon, and Caylie. Predeceased by sisters Anne Ford of Ottawa, Madge Ellison of Toronto and Stella Peltoniemi of Espanola.
Peter was a lifetime resident and business owner in Espanola, owning Peter V. Buratynski Trucking, which became OK Tire. Peter lived life to its fullest; loving fast cars, boating, hunting, camping and family get togethers. Peter will be remembered for his quick wit, sharp comebacks and smirk.
Cremation with burial of ashes at a later date in the spring. The Family would like to invite relatives and friends to a Celebration of Life at The Espanola Golf Club from 2 p.m. – 4p.m. on Saturday March 16. In-lieu of flowers, donations are to be directed to the Buratynski Family Fund for the Espanola Nursing Home Therapeutic Gardens.
