In Loving Memory Of
Norman Bradley Hollier
Norman Bradley Hollier passed suddenly on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 at the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie, with a dozen family members by his side.
He left this world smiling upon on his two grandchildren: Liam and Alex Armstrong; three children: Norman Hollier, Laura Armstrong, and James Godfree; son in-law Chris Armstrong; and daughter in-law Kylina O’Tool. He got to savour the final kisses from the love of his life Tracee MacLean, while his brother, Melvin Hollier and two sisters: Sheila Hollier and Trevorlee Schmidt, stood steadfast with his nieces and nephews by his side.
He was reunited in spirit with his mother Mary-Jane Hollier and his father Melvin Hollier.
Born in Saskatchewan on August 11, 1959, Norman loved the freedom of the open road. Almost every job he had, he had a steering wheel in his sturdy grip. With his adventurous spirit, he was never afraid to venture to new places, meet new people, and make them laugh. He had friends everywhere he went. When he loved, he loved with his whole heart. He would tell you he was a little bit country and a little bit rock and roll. You could find him sometimes in the spotlight singing on a karaoke stage or being a comedian at the center of family gatherings because he loved to entertain us with his wit and his charm.
As a husband, father, brother, and uncle, he loved his family the most, and would recite a trucker’s prayer for them every day, wishing for them love and protection. Insisting on family BBQs, he would bring us together with enough ribs to feed the whole neighbourhood because he had the most generous heart.
He would love for us all to gather in his honour one last time, celebrating with music and a potluck dinner, sharing good food, laughs and stories about his life.
We will be gathering on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at 3:00pm, at the Crystal Creek Hall (44044 HWY-670). Please bring your favorite potluck dish, snack, or cash donation if you would like to help his family with alleviating costs at this time.
