Obituary of Norma Esther Moyer
MOYER – Norma Esther
At Cassellholme, on Tuesday, March 12th, 2019, at the age of 91 years. Norma (nee Brooks) was the beloved wife of Alvin Frederick Moyer. Married in 1948 Norma & Al were married for over 70 years. Proud and loving mother of Brett (Louise) of Ottawa, Jane Adlard (Keith) of Russell, Laura Carmichael (Steven), and Alan Moyer (Louise) all of North Bay and David Moyer of Owen Sound. Lovingly remembered by her 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Norma is survived by her brothers Leonard Brooks (Lois) of Belfountain, James Brooks (Evelyn) of Oakville and Ron Brooks (Louina) of Brantford. Predeceased by her brother Fred. Norma and Al owned and operated Fosdicks in downtown North Bay from 1972 until retiring in 1996. An active and dedicated member of Trinity United Church she was also a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 50 years. Friends may call at the Martyn Funeral Home on Friday, March 15th from 2:00- 4:00 PM and on Saturday, March 16th from 1:00 PM until time for a Funeral Service in the Martyn Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM. Spring interment at the Forest Lawn Cemetery. If desired, donations to Cassellholme or a Charity of Choice will be appreciated by her family. Her family would like to thank the Staff of Cassellholme for the compassion and care they gave Norma.
