Obituary of Mamie Christina Coffill
Age 93, of Windsor, passed away peacefully in Haliburton Place, Hants Community Hospital, Windsor on Thursday, March 28, 2019. Born in Lower Vaughan, she was the youngest and the last surviving child of the late Edward and Hattie (Church) Hart.
Mamie is survived by her daughter, Bernice Levy; grandchildren, Tammy (Don) Heibert, Susan (Ken) Mosher, Geoffrey (Heather) Levy and Yvonne (Tim) Weisner; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Glenn Donald Coffill; son-in-law, Karl Levy; great-grandsons, Geoffrey David and Marcus; brothers, Earl, Royce, Hughie, William, Abner, Wilfred and Burnell in infancy; sisters, Thelma Wile, Mona Jodrey, Gertie Hart, Lois Chambers and Bertha in infancy.
The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to friend, Jim Edwards and nurse, Judy as well as the staff of Haliburton Place.
Arrangements have been entrusted to DeMont Family Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 419 Albert Street, Windsor (902-798-8317), where the family will greet visitors from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, March 31st. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 1st at 2:00 p.m. in DeMont Family Funeral Home Chapel, Rev. Ellen Hunt officiating. Burial will take place in Maplewood Cemetery, Windsor, followed by a reception in the funeral home’s Elmcroft Reception Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Mamie may be made to Haliburton Place, 89 Payzant Drive, Windsor, NS B0N 2T0 or a charity of one’s choice.
