FRASER, Leonard Edison
LGF Contracting
June 22, 1931 – January 29, 2019
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leonard Fraser on January 29, 2019. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife Helen of 65 years. Cherished father of Gregory (Susan), Kimberly (Ian) and predeceased by daughter Deborah. Beloved grandfather of Chrissie (Rob), David, Alexandra (Nicholas) and Katie. He is also survived by his sister Lois Taylor.
Leonard woke up with the attitude that every day was a great day! He was the epitome of the eternal optimist. His family, the cottage and career were his life. He was so proud of his children and grandchildren; he loved to hear about the excitement in their daily lives. He worked side by side with Helen and Greg in their construction company, building residential houses and commercial buildings. Len so loved the excitement of going to the work site that he only retired two years ago.
The family would like to thank Dr Laskey, Dr Walker and the doctors at the Irving Greenberg Family Cancer Centre, nurses from St. Elizabeth and pharmacy staff at Carleton Place IDA. A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Alan R. Barker Funeral Home, 19 McArthur Ave., Carleton Place, on Friday, February 1, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. with reception to follow. Interment at Capital Memorial Gardens. For those who wish, a donation in memory of Leonard to the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation would be appreciated.
