Joni Nancy Racette 1990 2019

Obituary of Joni Nancy Racette
Joni Racette passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was a strong, spirited young woman, who had a heart of gold. Joni became a mother at a young age, but never let that hold her back from her goals, in fact it was her driving force. She graduated High School with honours and continued onto University, where she achieved her Teacher’s degree with honours. Anything Joni put her mind to doing, she could accomplish; she painted, she did mechanics, she did yard work, and she loved cake decorating. She truly was a very loving and talented person. Joni’s kids were her world. She did everything she could to give them a good life. Joni was a wonderful mother. She would often put the needs of others before her own. Joni was and always will be one of our greatest pride and joys. She is survived by her children, Eddy, Jordy, and Lena; parents Edward and Cecilia Racette; mother Angela Nelson; brothers, Robert, Scott, Dayton, Dominik, Arron, and Douglas; her little sister Emma; paternal grandfather Bill Racette; maternal grandfather Lyle Nelson; special aunt Jo Ann; as well as many other loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. Joni was predeceased by her paternal grandmother Freda Racette; paternal step-grandfather Allen Wagner; and maternal grandmother Audrey Nelson. We would like to give a big heart felt thank you to the wonderful staff of MICU at the Regina General Hospital. Memorial Service for Joni will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, 225 – 1874 Scarth Street, Regina, SK S4P 4B3.
