John Ardelli, 46, died suddenly on March 15, 2019, after a
sudden illness at his place of work, MCI Canada.
John or Jody as he was affectionately known as a child was
born in Lachine Quebec on Canada Day 1972 and shortly after moved to
Sydney. In 1989 he graduated from Riverview High School and attended
UCCB in the early nineties.
In 1984 he had surgery at the IWK hospital for a heart issue
and that was corrected at that time. Since then John looked after his
health and at one time, a few years ago, he cycled almost everywhere
during weather that was not easy to navigate with an automobile. His
computer skills were second to none and he assisted those of us less
skilled, with his knowledge, time and time again. John was a person
who never spoke unkindly about anyone no matter how frustrating the
situation.
John is survived by his mother Sharen Archibald Ardelli, a
sister Amanda Mae Roy (Dave), his uncle George Archibald, aunt Nancy
Marcheterre, and John’s soulmate of many years Marie Stewart
and his best friend Robert Martell.
John was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Mr. and
Mrs. J.A. Archibald his paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Ardelli and his father Edward Ardelli Jr.
Cremation has taken place and there will be no wake or
immediate funeral service. He will be interred at the Dr. John Pringle
Memorial Cemetery by the Coxheath Mountain and Blackett’s
Lake which he loved so much as a young boy. The time for that service
will be in the mid Spring and will be published at a later
time.
In remembrance of John a donation to an organization of your
choice could be made, or just a kindness to someone, with him in mind,
could be offered.
