MARTINCIC, Frances Marie
(nee Unkovich)
Frances passed away peacefully with family
by her side at the age of 89 on March 11, 2019
at St. Michael’s Centre where she resided for
the past 8 months. She was predeceased by
her husband John (1977) and daughter
Catherine (2002). Fran is survived by her
loving and devoted sons John (Patti) and
Rick. Adored grandsons Johnny, Jason (Sae)
and Cody Martincic. Jared (Glaiza) and Tyson
(Briana) Bellusci, great-grandchildren Sophia
and Noah. She is also survived by her dear
companion of 28 years Ray Berg, her sisters
Florence Christie (Dave, deceased) and
Sylvia Unkovich. Nephews Ian (Marie) and
David (Kristin) Christie and their children.
Fran will be greatly missed by extended
family, the Matich’s and the Brusic’s as well
as many friends. Fran had a long and
distinguished career at Gulf & Fraser
Fisherman’s Credit Union. She lived her life
until the end with great courage and dignity,
always with a smile. Special thanks to the
staff of St. Michael’s Centre. Funeral Mass
will be celebrated on Wednesday March 20 at
11:00 a.m. at St. Helens Church, 3860
Triumph Street, Burnaby. In lieu of flowers
