Don Robinson
January 27, 1962 – March 1, 2019
With great sadness, the family of the late Don Robinson announce his sudden passing at his home in Canora, SK, on March 1, 2019, at the age of 57 years.
Don Daniel Robinson was born on January 27, 1962, to Allan and Josephine (Klein) Robinson at Regina, SK. He received his education and graduated high school from Balfour Collegiate, Regina, SK. Upon completion of his education, Don obtained employment in various fields within the city, which also included working for the City of Regina. His creative, entrepreneurial spirit lead him to starting his own successful auto glass business. Don met Lorri Reaney and together they were blessed with two children, Tyson and Nicole. In 1999, the family moved to Canora, SK, where Don and Lorri accepted the role as operational managers of the Lunn Hotel. After several years, Don made the decision to work on his own again and started an SGI accredited glass shop in Canora, SK. In 2016, he attended Lakeland College Canada and became certified as a 2nd year steam/pipefitter and accepted a position as a Pipefitter with Bemac Construction Corporation. It is obvious he still desired to be a business owner as at the time of his passing, Don was in the process of initiating a new business venture with his good friend, Todd Jorgenson. Throughout the years, Don greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Many memories were created while fishing, playing cards, boating and travelling with his loved ones. He treasured the memories made on trips to Las Vegas, Texas, and Drumheller with his children. He was actively involved in their childhood and even coached their baseball and hockey teams.
With Don’s laid-back personality, he was most at peace while patiently fishing or relaxing around a fire, socializing and spending time with those who meant the most to him. He will be remembered as a soft-hearted man who loved his family, respectfully kept to himself but was always readily willing to help anyone who needed him. As the saying goes, Don would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He was kind, humble and honest. He is gone too soon and will be greatly missed by those whose lives he touched.
Don was predeceased by his parents, Allan and Josephine Robinson; two brothers, Adam (in infancy) and Phil Robinson; and his sister-in-law, Lori Robinson.
He is survived and lovingly remembered by his son, Tyson; daughter, Nicole Robinson (Devon Burback); the light of his life – his granddaughter, Jexlyn; two brothers, Kenny and Jimmy Robinson and two sisters, Linda (Rick) Brunner and Rita (Dale) Lang; former partner and the mother of his children, Lorri Reaney; as well as his nephews, nieces, extended family members and
