THOMPSON: Viola Edna “Carolyn”
Born in Goderich on December 12, 1930 and passed away on February 12, 2019.
Beloved wife of the late John William Thompson (2005). Loving mother of Andy and Carolynne Thompson of London, the late Bill Thompson (1968), Betty and Barry Powley of Chilliwack, B.C., Jim and Sheila Thompson of Seaforth, Sharon and Brian Nesbitt of Listowel and Bob and Michele Thompson of Stratford. Adored Grandmother of Jeff, Greg, Jonathan, Jason, Amanda, Leisa, Cheryl, Will, Kathy, Mark, Laura, Emily and Eric and Great Grandmother of Will, Keira, Sarah, Jordan, Hunter, Lily, Ryder, Hayden, Sheldon and Kyla. Sister of Elmer Hunter (late Jean) of Glencoe. Foster Mother to Carl Merner of Kinburn.
Carolyn filled her life with family, friends, church and community. Her love of children led to many special foster children over the years. She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
At Carolyn’s request, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Falconer Funeral Homes – Bluewater Chapel, 201 Suncoast Drive, East, Goderich on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with visitation on hour prior to service time. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
