Doug Breadner passed away at St Mary’s General Hospital in Kitchener on Sunday March 24, 2019 In his 95th year
Beloved husband of May (nee Russell), loving father of Larry of Meaford and Mary Jane Hills (Brad) of Chatsworth. Survived by sisters; Bernice Logan and Donna Jonsson, and sister in law; Lois Sewell, brothers in law; Ivan Russell and Ken Russell (Donna).
Predeceased by brother Mac Breadner and sister Viola Ormsby, brothers in law; Walter, Don, Elmer, Ernie, Burton, and Maurice Russell and sisters in law; Verna Littlejohns and Jane Johnston.
Doug was the President and owner of Breadner Transports Ltd. of Meaford . At its peak, Doug, May and Larry built the firm into one of the largest privately-owned businesses in Meaford with almost 100 full and part time employees.
A visitation will be held at The Gardiner-Wilson Funeral Home, Meaford on Friday March 29 from 2-5 pm. A private family funeral service will be held at a later date. Interment Temple Hill Cemetery.
