Blair Aubrey Steeves
1942-2019
Blair Aubrey Steeves, 76, of Forest Dale Home and formerly of
Surrey passed away peacefully on March 30th, 2019 at the home with his
daughter by his side.
Blair was born in Hillsborough on September 26,
1942 the son of the late George and Ada (Fenton)
Steeves.
He enjoyed many jobs over the years. He worked at
the Gypsum Mill in Hillsborough for 20 years, worked as a flagger for
the DOT, drove truck in Point Wolfe, he also enjoyed his time when he
worked at the Hillsborough Arena, he retired from Domac Building
Supplies. Blair was a member of the Valley Baptist
Church. He enjoyed music and attended many Blue
Grass Festivals and Super Fiddle Shows over the
years. He enjoyed Tim Horton’s coffee and driving through
the community checking in to make sure everything was going
okay. He also enjoyed travelling to the United
States. He had a special place in his heart for animals and
always had cats and dogs at his home. He was an avid Nascar
fan and #17 was his favourite to cheer for. Blair
was a beloved husband, father and grandfather. He really
missed his wife Marion when she passed in 2006. He
is now at peace and having a blessed reunion with those who have gone
before him and by the side of his Lord and Saviour.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter Tammy Davidson
(Chris) of Albert Mines; son, George Steeves of Saint John; and by his
treasured grandchildren, Sarah, Zachary, Rebecca and
Emily.
He will also be missed by all his extended family and
friends.
He will be resting at the Albert County Funeral Home with
visitation on Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9pm. The funeral service will be held
at the Valley Baptist Church on Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019 at 2:00pm
with Rev. Wayne Johnson officiating. Interment will be held
in the Grey’s Island Cemetery, Hillsborough, NB at a later
date.

or the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly
appreciated.
The family would like to say a very special thank you to
the Forest Dale Home for the exceptional care given to
Blair. The wonderful caring people and the kindness shown
will never be forgotten.
