Obituary of Beverly May Beckett
May 30, 1936 – March 13, 2019
The family of Beverly Beckett sadly announces her passing on March 13, 2019 at the age of 82 years.
Beverly was born and raised in Kenora, Ontario, the eldest of 3 children born to Tom and Hilah Bull. After graduating from high school, Bev became a Licensed Practical Nurse. Bev married Garret Beckett in 1957 and had two children. Being the gypsy type, Bev and Gerry moved out west, residing in various places in Alberta and British Columbia, Hinton being the place where the kids grew up. After they retired they finally settled in Hythe. Besides being a nurse, Bev was also a Tap and Jazz dance teacher and ran her own studio for 10 years, teaching in Hinton and Jasper. She was also very active in the Kinette Service club for many years.
Bev is survived by her daughter Sheryl Belzile (Norm), and son Murray Beckett (Susan) her granddaughter Trina Kirscht (Warren) and their children Tennessa, Makaila, Kayden and Aubrey, granddaughter Connie Wood (Douglas) and their children Elora and Emilia, grandson Garion Beckett (Chantalle).
She was predeceased by her husband Garret Leslie Beckett (1935-2014), her brothers Darryl Bull (1939-2012) and Ron Bull (1945-2017).
A private family gathering has been held to honour Bev.
